The Peace Memorial Museum is located in the Peace Memorial Park.

It has a large collection of artifacts and testimony from survivors and victims from the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima toward the end of WW2.

Recommendations

• This attraction will take at least 1 hours if you go only to the main section of the museum (the east wing is currently under renovation). Add an additional 2 hour for walking in the rest of the park.
• You may want to bring tissue.
• Parent corner: This was a very sad and somber attraction. My child is elementary age and was very interested in reading the stories of the children who died. Many questions came up as we walked through the park and museum. The museum offers a website for children which can be viewed before or after your visit to aid understanding.
