Washington State Ferry System |
Ferries run throughout the Puget Sound Area. From downtown Seattle you can sail to Bainbridge Island or Bremerton. Both rides will take about 1 hour each way. Fares are $8 per walk on adult. Cars will cost an additional $14 approximately and may need a reservation. Fares usually go up in the peak months (May-September). You can also pay with the ORCA. The ORCA card can be used to pay for your fare on Sound Transit buses and trains. You may also use the ORCA card on Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro Transit, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit and Washington State Ferries. This is a convenient way to prepay with a Credit Card as buses require exact change. You can purchase one at the ticket vending machine (TVM) near the Light Rail Train station at SEATAC airport or online. |
