Seoul Airports - Incheon Airport and Gimpo Airport - Helpful Information for Arriving Passengers

 


Two Airports serves Seoul Capital area in South Korea -

1). Incheon International Airport (Airport Code: ICN) – The main hub for International Flights

2). Gimpo International Airport (Airport Code: GMP) – The central hub for Domestic and serves some short-haul International Flights

Incheon Airport started operations in early 2001, replacing old Gimpo Airport as the primary airport for Seoul Capital Area.

Now Seoul Gimpo Airport mainly serves domestic flights and few short-haul international flights to Japan, China, and Taiwan.

Both Incheon Airport and Gimpo Airport in Seoul are well connected to Seoul City by Public Transportation.

It takes about 45-60 minutes to travel from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station, depending on the mode of transportation.

Travel between Gimpo Airport and Seoul station takes about 25-30 minutes.

Incheon Airport in Seoul has two terminals with 111 boarding gates – Terminal 1 (Plus Concourse A) and Terminal 2

Seoul Airport to Hotel (by Train)

Mass Public Transit Incheon International Airport (ICN) to Seoul Station

• Ride the AREX (Airport Railroad Express) or All Stop Metro Subway train.

   - From the 1st floor of the ICN Passenger Terminal

   - Go down to B1 level of Passenger Terminal -Follow the signs to the Transport Center – Airport Railroad Station

   - Go purchase tickets at the machines or kiosk, and get on a train to your destination

• Take the non-stop AREX Airport Express (Timings - 5:20 AM to 9:40 PM) to Seoul Station (45 mins ride)

• After 9:30 PM, take the all stop Commuter train to Seoul Station and transfer to your destination. (60 mins ride)

Gimpo International Airport (GMP) to Seoul Station

• Ride the AREX (Airport Railroad Express) or All Stop Commuter Train

   - Follow the signs to the Transport Center – Airport Railroad Station

   - Go purchase tickets at the machines or kiosk, and get on a train to your destination

• Take a train to Seoul Station and transfer to your destination.
